Can you Store/Recall layer sets in Virtuoso?

Is there an easy way to configure viewable/selectable sets of layers in virtuoso that I can store and recall as needed? I'm constantly viewing a given subset of all available layers and finding myself needing to view just one or two layers to e.g. fix a DRC error, but afterwards it's a pain setting up all the layers again so I can continue browsing the layout. I do this very many times a day, so I'm kind of hopeful this functionality likely already exists.

By default, the layer sets (which are saved under the .cadence dir when you do Right Mouse->Layer Set->Save over the palette and so can be reused in subsequent sessions) but do not honour the visibility/selectability.

That can be controlled via the Right Mouse->Options form:

    This can be set with:

    envSetVal("layout" "pteLayerSetActivationMode" 'cyclic "filterAndApply")

The other choice is to pick:

    with the corresponding cdsenv setting:

    envSetVal("layout" "pteLayerSetActivationMode" 'cyclic "filterVisSelectability")

The first just alters the filtering and applies the selectability/visibility within the layer set (leaving everything else as-is). The second will make everything else invisible and then apply the selectability/visibility from the layer set.

I'm not entirely sure I have understood precisely what you want, but it may be the second of these two choices?

    Regards,

    Andrew

Sorry for the late response - I'm still on vacation with spotty internet service. I'll be in a position to try out your suggestion in about a week. Many thanks as always :-).
