Set the user interface to have the assistants hidden by default

The user interface behavior in Cadence schematics/layout is that the assistants are visible by default and can then be set to be hidden by pressing F11. Is there a way to reverse this so that the assistants are hidden by default?

Thanks!

Not really (at least not without a horrible hack). One thing you could do is to make the "Classic" workspace the default (Window->Workspaces->Set Default) as this workspace doesn't have any docked assistants. You'd then need to change to the workspace you want and then you can toggle away.

I do find the assistants useful but prefer them to be in the background and not take up the screen real estate.
