Time domain simulation of switched capacitor circuits

Hi,

I have recently been involved in the design of  switched cap circuits, integrators to be more specific. I have noticed some unexpected results when doing regular time-domain transient simulations and this is the integrator settles with some output offset between the two differential outputs, while I expected them to be fully symmetric. This is schematic simulation, not extracted. The circuit is fully balanced and differential and this is not a MC set up. I have also noticed that if I set up a strobe period for the simulation, so that I force spectre to calculate at regular intervals I get results that are not yet ideal but closer to what I expect. Of course at the price of longer simulation time. I am using APS with ++aps option.
So, I was wondering if there are any accuracy and integration method settings, specific for switched capacitor simulations that maybe I'm missing and which can impact the results?

Thanks
Svilen

    Svilen,

It's quite hard to answer these thing generically without seeing what the actual issue is and having a test case to look at. I suggest you contact customer support.
