Can tests in Assembler use different config views?

Is it possible to use difference views for a cell in different tests?

There's an RMB option to add config sweep to global variable. When I tried to copy that global variable's name and value to local variable, the virtuoso just got segmentation fault and terminated.

What's to correct way to do this?

    Hi Lawrence,

You can certainly have different config views for different tests, and have each config view have the cell bound to a different view. If you wanted to use a different config sweep for each test (i.e. a local sweep, as you can do with other variables), that is not currently supported (apparently it pretty much works, but there are some little pieces that need cleaning up before it's officially supported). There's an enhancement request, CCR 2254263. You might want to contact customer support to request another duplicate (this all helps with prioritising the implementation).

    Regards,

    Andrew

How about using corners as a workaround in the meantime (like we used to do for local variable sweeps in ADE XL)? I suggest you take a look at https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1O3w00000AEAUPEA5

Frank - that's a good idea. I should have suggested that.
