How to make auto via feature in cadence avoid slot layers since it causes DRC violations?

Even though Prevent DRC violations is turned on which does work for metal layers and other vias, but does not work for slot layers?

Hello,

First you need you need to make sure you have a rule in your techfile defining the min distance in between via and slot layer.

If not that could be the reason why it does not work.
