Modifying/Editing Maestro/Assembler Test setup with text editor

Hi,

If possible, I would like to be able to modify/add tests for the ADE Assembler through the text editor. Is this all accessible as some xml file? Where would this file be located?

Thanks much!

Whilst the underlying "database" for Maestro views is indeed XML, the schema is not public or documented, and it is completely unsupported to update it this way. It's liable to change at any point, plus there are certain consistency requirements that you could get very wrong by editing it manually - so I would totally advise you not to do that.

There are SKILL APIs for most things - either the "mae" functions, the "axl" functions or "asi" functions depending on the level of edits you are trying to do.

There are also some aspects which can be exported to CSV (e.g. corners, variables, outputs), edited, and re-imported.

Ok. Editing text makes life easy. Hence the question. Hope the support for this comes soon.

    Thanks!

No, there is nothing planned to do this. Whilst it sounds easy, it's remarkably difficult in any kind of complex tool with lots of data interdependencies to have a text-based alternative interface.
