Using existing maestro view

Hi All,

I am trying to use an design shared with me that has a testbench schematic and associated maestro view.

When I am trying to open the maestro view it throws a message that "design associated with the test is invalid".

The design seems to be fine.

Is there a way I can use the existing maestro view or will I have to create a new one ?

thanks in advance.

regards

That should only appear if the lib/cell/view of the schematic/config view associated with the test doesn't exist or can't be read - the name has to be exactly the name shown in the message.

You should be able to go over the test which it is complaining about (you have two) in the Data View assistant, use the Right Mouse button menu, and pick "Design" and then specify an appropriate lib/cell/view to use instead. This should then allow you to proceed  with simulation.

That said, this behaviour happens after certain IC618/ICADVM18.1 ISRs - not sure which sub-version you're using since you didn't mention it? Are you using something recent?

thank you very much for the reply Andrew.

For this project I am using ICADVM20.1-64b.500.21

I see the cell tb_lna_lte existing inside the library which has the schematic and maestro views.

When I double click the maestro view to open it, I get the message which I described in the previous post.

I cannot select the checkbox against the test but I can right click and select the design option.

cell name inside the library is as shown below :

Can you actually open the schematic view? It might show up in the library manager, but it's possible (for some reason) that the data is not present or the permissions are wrong.

If you can open the schematic view, this would be very strange - I cannot think of a reason why it would complain about it being invalid if the design was actually valid. If this happens, you should contact customer support as it needs proper attention.

    thanks for the reply Andrew.

yes I am able to open the schematic view present in the same cell as the maestro view.

I added the design as you suggested through the right click option and it allowed me to add the design to this test in "read" mode only.

I am able to see the analysis getting populated now.

    regards
