dcblock capacitor

Hi All

the dcblock capacitor in the analogLib shows that the capacitance used in tran is 1u. What would be the capacitance used in s-parameter simulations ?

any hints will be great help.

thanks in advance.

In frequency-domain simulations (such as ac, sp etc), it's ideal block - so it blocks DC (open circuit), but is an ideal short during the frequency domain analysis. It has no capacitance. Such an element is completely non-physical and cannot be represented in the time-domain, so for time-domain simulations a 1u (or whatever value you enter) capacitor is used instead.
