The Datasheet created by ADE Assembler can be opened only by IE (not even Edge).

The tool versions are below:

Virtuoso IC 6.1.8-64b.500.15
Spectre 19.1.0.541.isr14

Hi,

I can create the datasheet in ADE Assembler no problem there. However once the html document is created I can open it only with IE. Edge, Chrome and Firefox do not work and do not provide any error message. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Thank you,

IceTea

    Dear  IceTea,

By an chance, have you read the Troubleshooting article at the Cadence On-line Support portal at URL:

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1O3w000009bdTdEAI&pageName=ArticleContent&shareID=1644437704707

The article details a potential issue viewing an html based datasheet file on many modern web browsers? The issue is explained and a workaround for Firefox versions 68 and forward. There are a couple of CCR that have been filed concerning this issue. Is this helpful at all?

    Shawn

PS  - I was out for a while unexpectedly IceTea and just getting back to studying your prior post concerning trimming...

Shawn, thank you for the article on web browsers. I tried the fix on Firefox, didn't work, I'll try further...

Shawn beat me to posting this (I wrote the article)! Which Firefox version are you using? I should re-check it again, since it was a while ago that I wrote it - so knowing the version you're using would help.

Andrew, Firefox is 97.0 (64-bit) version, thank you. Chrome is Version 97.0.4692.99 (Official Build) (64-bit). It's a little strange that both are at version 97.0 (more or less). I double-checked the numbers.

I checked Firefox 95 and then 99.0.1. It seems that the switch which used to fix this no longer works. I've updated the article to reflect the new setting you can use:

    security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy set to false

seems to work for me (with Firefox).

I also see that the workaround for Chrome works fine in current Chrome versions (100.0) - I had to test on MacOS since I don't have Chrome on my Linux machine.
