Error Quantus PVS Extraction

Dear Cadence Help,

I am trying to run Quantus PVS Extraction on a layout with only a symbol view. (No schematic)

I have a cdl netlist which I use to run PVS-LVS with the option to 'Create Quantus QRC Input Data'

The LVS is clean but when I try to run the PVS extraction I get the following error below. It seems

like the files listed below are missing but I'm not sure how to remedy this. Do I need to create an actual

schematic view where I instantiate the symbol?

Any help would be appreciated.

ERROR (LBRCXM-756): For extracted view output with transfer property function enabled by extview.trp file, ?cdloutRunDir '/home/2015-0347_asida40n/Projects/ds3_rcv_asic/Workdirs/310267164/PvsLVS/LSR25RFC'

(or 'output_db -cdl_out_map_directory <name>') must contain file 'si.env', along with directories 'map' and 'ihnl'.

    Hi Andrew, thanks a lot for your reply. I read through this ticket and made sure I had the correct CDL out directory

    and that the extview.trp file was present and being read, but this didn't solve my problem of the missing files, directories.

    I was able to create the extracted view using the following procedure:

    1) I created an empty schematic from the symbol by using 'create cellview from cellview'

    2) I then ran an LVS using the empty schematic as input which failed LVS but created the si.env file and map, ihnl directories that were missing.

    3) I ran LVS again with the proper cdl netlist and LVS passed.

    4) Finally, I ran Quantus PVS extraction and it completed successfully with a netlist that could be simulated.

    It seems like a dubious work around since the missing files, directories were created with an empty schematic but the simulation is working.

    Probably best to contact customer support about this; I've not had the chance to try this myself.
