Using a variable in mtline

BahaaRadi

Hi,

I am trying to sweep the length and the width of the "mtline" cell. Apparently, this cell allows for values only and does not accept variables. Any way around this?

Specifically, I am using the fieldsolver type inputs.

Thanks!

    My first reaction was "this should work" based on a memory of having done this many years ago. I then tried a simple case and had variables for both the length and the line width and that also worked in the versions I tried. It may be that your example is more complex or there's some restriction in a particular version combination. So please provide:

    1. The IC sub-version (Help->About) that you're using
    2. The Spectre sub-version (appears at the top of the spectre log file, or from "spectre -W" from the UNIX command line)
    3. The parameters you're passing to the mtline instance (maybe a screen shot)
    4. The error you're seeing
    5. (ideally) what appears in the netlist when you do try to make it a variable

    Regards,

    Andrew
