How to inspect older Assembler test setups e.g. regarding tran analysis details?

Hi,

I know I can go back via Load setup to active.

However, now this has happened: I run a somewhat modified transient noisie analysis in a test, and see it is now much slower than before. So I expect a minor difference like saving too much data or changes on reltol, etc.

However, in the history tab I see only the tests itselfs, but not details like the older analysis setup or the used netlists.

Is there a good way to compare two test setups? For me it looks that I need to wait for some hours till the current simulation stops, and then to compare via Load setup to active and eye inspections.

However, isn't there a more elegant way?

Bye Stephan

    Hi Stephan,

Comparing one test against another can be done with the multi-test editor in ADE Assembler, but unfortunately you can't compare histories that way (there's a placeholder for the enhancement, CCR 2042368. You might want to contact customer support to request a duplicate).

A workaround would be to add a new test (which will drop into Explorer for the new test) and then use Session->Import to import from the same maestro view, picking the original test but specifying the history you want to import from. Then go back up to Assembler and then use Tools->Multi Test Editor to compare the tests (go over the Simulator Defaults column heading and do right mouse and uncheck this column, and also check the "Show Differences" checkbox at the top). This would then show the differences in the two tests (for example).
