Is there a way to force plotting curves into the same plot?

Hi,

e.g. I can get voltage noise vs frequency directly from noise analysis, but I could also run transient, and make a dft or psd plot. Now I want to overlay them, but ADE or ViVA defaults prevent a direct plot into the same plot.

I need to do "Allow any units" on the x-axis and also to select a common y-axis (out of the existing ones).

This is quite some manual work, and the lack of convenient automatic plotting makes also automatic datasheet generation difficult.

Is there a cdsenv setting to allow any units by default? And is there an option to influence whether ADE creates a new y-axis or if y-axis are shared?

Bye Stephan

    Stephan,

One way to solve this is to use plotting templates in Explorer/Assembler, which means you set the graph up once and then the templates can be reused (for data sheets too). See ADE Plotting Templates

The other way is to change the defaults as you asked - described here: Signal and calculator expression plot in different subwindows in ViVA.

Thanks, Andrew. I switched to ic618 and I am investigating now plotting templates and the RAK.
