AMS simulation error: "ncsim: *F, INTERR: INTERNAL EXCEPTION"

Hi,

My virtuoso version is 6.1.8-64b. And my AMS simulator is "incisiv152hf".

When I use the AMS to simulate the analog part and digital part together, some error happens.

Actually, I used TSMC28nm technology PDK. Whenever I put some transistors from this pdk, and do AMS simulation with verilog file, it will stop because of the following problem.

Could you help me to solve this problem?

Thanks very much.

    More details about the version:

    virtuoso: IC6.1.8-64b.500.19

    ncsim(64) 15.20-s080.

    Thanks.

From the message, it seems that the version of Spectre integrated into INCISIVE152 is too old - not surprising, since it's a release that came out in 2015 and you're using newer TSMC (TMI) models.

You should move to using a recent XCELIUM release (note, if you move to the latest XCELIUM2109 you'll also need to update to the latest IC618 hotfix). It certainly makes no sense using such an old simulator release when your IC release is very recent (from during 2021).
