In the past I had an article on how to do this, but I retired the article a while back because it was rather complicated and importantly was hard to maintain to ensure that you didn't lose anything that Virtuoso had added in the meantime.

    Essentially my customisation worked by:

    1. Adding some triggers to write out additional XML files containing extra information I wanted to appear in the data sheets (these were written into separate files to leave the original XML alone)
    2. Replacing the XLST templates used for the main document and per-test documents to include code to incorporate and transform the data from the additional XML files. XSLT is an XML-based programming language used to transform XML into other formats; in this case to transform into HTML - so when the XML is opened in a web browser, it is transformed by the XSLT into formatted HTML. There are cdsenv variables to control where the xlst files that are used are: adexl.datasheet mainDocXSLFile and adexl.datasheet testDocXSLFile - but editing these is not for the faint-hearted! I have a book on XSLT which I got when I first started looking at this, and when reading it on an aeroplane the person sitting next to me said "you should get a consultant to do that"!
