Post Layout simulation at different temperature

Hello,

I am using the Assura package with the Cadence Virtuoso,

When I do the layout extraction from Quantos, I see that it will be performed at specific temperature, by default is at room temperature (25 °C) as you can see from the image below.

However, I want to do the post-layout simulation by sweeping the temperature from -40 to 85 °C with step size of 0.5 °C. What I am thinking ia that the post-layout simulation, in this case, will only be valid at the temperature where it is extracted, on the other hand it is not realistic or practical to sweep the extraction for the tested range.

Please I need you explanation for this issue.

Just a general question please, how can I find my post history in this forum.

Thank you in advance

Regards

Note that the temperature for extraction is only going to affect the resistance of the parasitic resistors, and that's likely to be a relatively small effect compared with the temperature variation of the rest of the circuit (particularly the active devices) which will be affected by the simulation temperature. That may well also be small compared with the variation in parasitic resistance due to process variation, so worrying about this may not be something of major concern.

However, depending on the Quantus tech file (ICT) setup, this might be possible to do. First thing would be to press the "Help" button in the bottom right of the form - this will tell you about the fields on that page including the Temperature. That will point you to the netlisting tab help:

On the netlisting tab, there's a field:

which you can set to "Include" (that disables the temperature on the extraction tab). Note that this will only have an effect if there are temperature coefficients in the ICT file (see above) - if you're unsure, contact the foundry.

Look at this post on the web (follow the link in the email notifier) and then at the top there will be your user name which is a hyperlink. Click on that and it will take it to your profile. At the top of the profile page there's a drop-down "Community":

From this pick "Activity" and this will show your posts.

Thank you very much Andrew for your help

that was the perfect solution to the extraction problem,

also solved my issue of locating my activity in the forum,, i don't know for some reason I am not receiving the notifications by email though i didn't disable this option.

Any way this will work for me

    Thank you once again
