Output expressions from Data Browser VIVA vs. Calculator

delgsy

We can get output expressions either from Data Browser in VIVA or from Calculator.
They have different syntax.
Data Browser : v("/ITOP/ILVL1/ILVL2/NVOUT" ?result "tran")
Calculator : VT("/ITOP/ILVL1/ILVL2/NVOUT")

During the previous project (I used ADEL/ADEXL), I made a mental note that I must use Calculator to formulate the output expressions in the future.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember exactly the reason that led me to that conclusion.

Is there any fundamental difference between those two?

Many, many years ago this used to be important (probably 15 years ago). It's not any more - either should be fine.
