ADE Explorer Checks/Asserts Skip Device Inside Subckt is giving an error

Hello,

I am using Virtuoso IC6.1.8-64b.500.23, Spectre 21.1.0.303.isr5, and Xcelium 21.09-s005 with AMS simulator.

I want to perform a device check on all devices on the current hierarchy view in my design and skip all devices in lower hierarchy. However, I didn't find anything that does that except for specifying an option "Skip Dev Inside Subckt".

Upon using this option, and running a simple DC simulation, I got this error (attached). My main cell view of interest is called "I_amp", and the instance I want to skip is I_amp.I228. Anyone knows why?

I just tried this and get a similar crash. You should do as it says in the message, and submit a service request via Cadence Online Support. I found a few issues reported when using skip_dev_inside_subckt although these seemed to be related to the device requested not existing and were in Spectre rather than AMS. Either way, you're using current versions so you should certainly follow this up through support.

Thank you Andrew for reproducing this!

Unfortunately, my account is a university account and I don't have the capability to file a service request on Cadence Support. I will have to live with getting reports from the entire hierarchy for now.

    Regards,
