re-run a single Monte-Carlo run

Hi,

Suppose I've run MC simulation of say 50 runs (or points as it is called in the gui). Then I want to rerun just one specific run out of those 50. What would be the proper way to do that and how to set it up?

Thanks

Svilen

    Thank you for the replies.
I can create a statistical corner now from a specific run in my MC simulation. Now, the question is how to use that statistical corner by itself. For example, when I set up the MC simulation I used ttg_localmc in the corners setup. For the simulation with the saved statistical corner, what should I use - still the same ttg_localmc or change it to tt? Also do I need to keep the Run Mode to Monte Carlo Sampling or change it to Single Run?

    Thanks

    Svilen,

If you create a statistical corner, then you would switch back to single run sweeps and corners and just enable that corner. In ADE Assembler you could also use run plan with just that corner enabled rather than necessarily having to change the active setup.

However, if you really don''t need the statistical corner, you could either go over the point and do Right Mouse->Troubleshoot Point (in Assembler; not in Explorer) which will re-run that point on its own, or Right Mouse->Open Debug Environment which opens a small ADE window which starts on just that point and you can tweak the settings there should you need. More detail in the documentation of course...

Thanks, Andrew. It sounds easy to do troubleshoot point.
However, if for any reason I need to rerun the statistical corner as a single run sweeps and corners what should I do for the device models? As I mentioned I ran the MC with ttg_localmc. Should I keep it like that or should I change to regular tt ?

The statistical corner will include the model sections, variables, temperature as used at that point in the Monte Carlo. You can see this if you look at the corner in the corners UI.

It wouldn't make sense to change the device models in the statistical corner (I assume that's not what you're asking), but you don't need to enable another corner at the same time (unless you wanted to also run a non-statistical point at that corner).

Yes, I noticed that the statistical corner kept the ttg_localmc as device models. But when I tried to run it as a single run sweeps and corners, it gave me tons of errors about device parameters. That's why I asked about it.

No idea why it would be giving errors - most likely some peculiarity with your setup. Please contact customer support as this should just work.
