calculator plot function fail

Hi,

Since recently, i got an issue when using calculator to plot tran node waveform.

Before when i choose "vt", then click the net on the schematic, the net name will be updated to calculator, then you can plot directly. However, for several weeks, such auto-update function doesn't work, i mean after i click the net on schematic, its name will not updated to calculator, in fact nothing happens.

Even i restart maestro, the issue is still there, unless i restart virtuoso completely. However, after some time, such an issue comes back again...

Do you have any idea for this?

Btw, i check data browser, all the nets are available there, they are not missing.

My virtuoso version is IC618-64b.500.22

Thanks for your attention.

    1. Did you first make sure the radio button for "vt" on the Calculator was highlighted on your subsequent attempts to load a selected net waveform to the Calculator? You mentioned you selected "vt" the first time and then selected the net on the schematic. In your post, you mentioned you selected the net on the schematic on subsequent occasions without mentioning if you first selected "vt" on the Calculator or if the radio button for "vt" was still highlighted.

    2. Did you change the results directory between trying to load the second waveform when you observed "nothing happened"? Specifically, did you highlight the net with one set of simulation results, switch to a new set of results, and then just try highlighting the same net or a different net expecting it to plot the same net or different net from the new set of simulation results? If so, you need to use the getData() command and include the path to the new results database and simulation type. The vt() function is only going to access data from a single results database unless you specifically change the results the Calculator are referring to.

    Shawn
