    Take note of which template you normally use for symbol generation (I tend to prefer using the "analog" template) as it adds cdsParam(), cdsTerm() labels etc and is good for annotation), and then copy that to a user directory. The default templates are all in: $CDSHOME/tools/dfII/samples/symbolGen - so for example, I copied artist.tsg to local.tsg in my working directory.

    Then at the end of this file you can change:

            symbolParam(
                origin = topLeftPin
                wireSpacing = 0.250000
                wireLength = 0.250000
                labelHeight = 0.062500
                vSideLength = 0.000000
                hSideLength = 0.000000
            )

    Note that the highlighted line is double the default. In my .cdsinit I then added:

    tsgTemplateMasters = list(
      list("digital" (prependInstallPath "samples/symbolGen/default.tsg"))
      list("analog" (prependInstallPath "samples/symbolGen/artist.tsg"))
      list("artist" (prependInstallPath "samples/symbolGen/artist.tsg"))
      list("PCB" (prependInstallPath "samples/symbolGen/package.tsg"))
      list("metric" (prependInstallPath "samples/symbolGen/metric.tsg"))
      list("local" simplifyFilename("./local.tsg"))
    )

    I could then set the default template via:

    envSetVal("schematic" "tsgTemplateType" 'string "local")

    or I can change it on the fly with the Load/Save on the Edit Options form when doing Create CellView from CellView.

    This will do what you want.
