ESD Protection general layout info

Hello I am a new to cadence IC layout and don't quite understand how the thought process works when doing RF ESD layout.

Does anyone have a source that gives a general introduction to ESD layout?

Thanks

I am not sure exactly how much background you have in ESD protection circuit topologies, the various ESD protection standards and measurement techniques, and the parameters of the protection circuits that are important from an RF perspective (which depends a bit on the specific type of RF circuit you are studying). So, my references may not address your needs - for which I will apologize in advance.

A few published in IEEE conferences and journals follow:

You can access these directly from IEEE (if you don't have a membership in the required IEEE society, there will be some charge to access and download a copy.)

There is also a Compliance Magazine "InCompliance" that includes topics related to ESD compliance. The magazine provides an article entitled "ESD Design for RF Mobile Applications" at its URL:

    incompliancemag.com/.../

Finally, a company called Qorvo (https://www.qorvo.com) provides a blog entry that outlines different ESD testing methodologies at URL:

    www.qorvo.com/.../get-grounded-what-you-need-to-know-about-esd-and-rf-devices

I hope some of these are useful to you bford33!
