Batch run simulations with different initial conditions.

I have a design. Now I want to simulate it in a loop, everytime changing its initial conditions and wiring a bit. I then want the frequency of the output signal to be stored in a tabular form in a file. Please help me on how to do it. I am pretty new to Cadence, and also have no knowledge about OCEAN / SKILLS.

    I am not sure of the type of changes you want in your comment "changing...wiring a bit." If you can make these changes using a programmable relay, then you can use a design variable to make the topology changes. If you are not familiar with the relay component, type:

    spectre -h relay

    for some help. With the topology change programmable with the value of a design variable, you can use ADE Explorer or Assembler to run a set of simulations varying the design variable(s) for the state of the relay(s) and varying a design variable containing the path to your different initial condition files.

    Define an output expression to compute the output frequency for each iteration.

    Of course, you could use ocean and create a script to perform the set of simulations, but it seems if you are "new" to Cadence, the use of Explorer/Assembler will take less effort.
