How to create auto pin under the cursor select

TonyTang

While I use create pin by auto mode, the new generated pin always put on start or end of line. I want to let the pln location follow the cursor select.

How can I achieve it? Thank you.

If turn on "Pin size" option, the pin placement location can under cursor. But I still hope its pin shape size fit as line width, and auto placed inside line shape.  looks turn on this option is not a good way to my request.

Turn off the Snap to wire end on the Create Pin form (and leave Pin Size unchecked).

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your answer.

I am sorry that I can't find "snap to wire end" option in create pin form? There is a Snap mode menu, I tried it not related to wire end setting.

    Is it an env variable?

My guess is that you must be using a rather old version (this is why the guidelines ask you to specify the version number, as it helps to understand this kind of issue). The "snap to wire end" option was added in IC6.1.7-64b.500.16 (ISR16) and the same sub-version of ICADV12.3, back in 2017. I think you're probably using an older version - what does Help->About show in any of the windows?

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you so much, I get this option while I swtich to a new version.

It can work well to meet my request if I turn off "snap to wire end" .

Make sure the Snap to Wire end is turned off when creating pins (along with leaving the Pin Size box unchecked).I hope this will fix your issue.
