Matlab cadence integration setup

I am using cadence ICADVM 20.1-64b and ADE Assembler for my simulations. I am trying to setup integration between cadence and Matlab to do my post-data simulation. I have followed the link below to setup all my environments including:

setenv CDSHOME     /Cadence_tools/Virtuoso/IC618ISR_lnx86

setenv SPECTREHOME   /Cadence_tools/Spectre/Spectre20.1_ISR/

setenv MATLABHOME   /OTHER_TOOLS/MATLAB/R2021b

set path = ($CDSHOME/tools/bin $CDSHOME/tools/dfII/bin $SPECTREHOME/tools/bin $MATLABHOME/bin)

when I type "'which axlMatlab' in the UNIX terminal, I can see that the MATLAB can be invoked from ADE Assembler. However, as mentioned in the link, when I check to see if MATLAB can be invoked from Virtuoso using system(“axlMatlab”) in CIW, Matlab does not start and in CIW I see number 1, which I do not understand the meaning of. I would appreciate any sort of help in this regard. Also, I don't see the "M" button in my ADE Assembler. I am not sure if I should set .cdsinit in order to be able to see the "M" button or if anything else is needed.

Given your other post, I'm not sure how you can get this far if you can't run virtuoso?

The "M" icon should appear at the far right of the toolbar when you are on the Results tab in ADE Assembler. My guess is that you are looking in the wrong place, or the window is too narrow for you to see it (if so, you might need to either widen the window or click on the ">>" at the right end of the toolbar to see it).

Can you run "matlab" from the command line? Or "axlMatlab"?

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks a lot for your reply. The previous question I asked was about using the cadence in a different system. I have another system in which cadence works fine.

Below is the screenshot of my ADE Assembler. As you see there is no "M" icon.

Your screenshot is of the Output Setup tab, whereas the M button is on (as I said before) the Results tab.
