Errors when simulating parametric sets of more than 3 parametric sets in ADE XL

[ Used version : Virtuoso IC618 ]

I'm currently trying to simulate a parametric set with ADE XL, but I'm having a problem.

I understood how to create a parametric set in ADE XL through help documents and articles in the forum, and I tried to create a parametric set using 9 variables like under figure.

In this case, I thought I could create a total of 8 parametric sets as shown below.

Variable order : iswing s1 s2 s3 s4 s5 s6 s7 s8

SET1 = 1.6m 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

SET2 = 800u 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0

SET3 = 400u 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0

SET4 = 200u 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0

SET5 = 100u 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0

SET6 = 50u 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0

SET7 = 25u 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0

SET8 = 12.5u 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1

When run simulation, the following error message(ADEXL-2343) is shown for variables s1 - s7.

To check if I understood exactly how to make a parametric set in ADE XL, I tried to make a parametric set using two variables as shown in the help document, but no error was shown. This problem always occurs when I simulate more than 3 parametric sets. (The number of variables was not related to the error.)

Please let me know if you have any problems with my simulation setup.

Thanks for reading.

    Dear LS7709,

    From the first screenshot you included in your post, it appears all the variables in your parametric set are Global variables. Is that correct?

    If it is correct, I am not sure if you happened to see the Troubleshooting article at URL:

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1O3w000009xycuEAA&pageName=ArticleContent&id=a1O3w000009xycuEAA&oMenu=Documents%20which%20may%20be%20similar%20to%20this%20document

    You noted you are using IC618, but did not include the specific release. From the above mentioned article, if your version is before ICADVM18.1.500.12, the article recommends disabling the Global variables in your parametric set. Have you tried that LS7709?

    Shawn,

    I think that only is relevant for ADE Explorer/Assembler - but not sure. The original poster said they were using ADE XL.

    LS7709, which sub-version are you using? Help->About will tell you this.
