How to save ADE Explorer setting and results

Hello

I am using Cadence version 6.1.8 64 bit

I am working with ADE Explorer for my circuit simulation.

I would like to ask you how can I save a certain simulation setting with the obtained result so I can next time call them back without rerunning the simulation. Especially important for me because I need to change the simulation setting and then lose my last results with the old setting as well

I have found the option from "Results"> Save, however, this option only save the result.

Thank you in advance for your help

Best Regards

    1. Right click on previous run Interactive > Load Setup to Active. This will overwrite any exisiting setup you made.

    2. There is Save Setup State option in File menu. You can use that also.

    3. Export Adexl as ocean script to compare settings in text format for any debug.

    Hope this helps.

ADE Explorer only has the ability to save the results, not all the simulation setup. You need to use ADE Assembler if you want to save all the simulation setup too and to be able to either just view the results (History->View Results) or restore the simulation setup (History->Load Setup to Active)

Thank you Andrew and firebolt for your response,

you have solved my issue, speciall the solution of (History->View Results)  which doesnt overwrite my previous setting.

I have a tiny thing to ask, how can I change the name of the simulation run from my history, it came with default name like interactive 0 and interactive 1 and I want to give them meaning names

    Regards

In the History tab of the Data View assistant, click on the name of the history, then click again and you can type in the new name. You can also do Right Mouse->Lock to prevent it being automatically deleted when you reach the maximum number of histories (which defaults to 10).

    You can also set:

    envSetVal("adexl.historyNamePrefix" "showNameHistoryForm" 'boolean  t)

in the CIW (or .cdsinit) and it will then prompt you for a prefix to use before each run. Personally I find that annoying, and tend to choose to rename the histories I want to keep.
