How to get rid of Weight column for Results tab in ADE?

StephanWeber

I found this env variable may help:

envSetVal( "adexl.gui" "detailViewShowDefault" 'string "\"Test\" \"Spec/Weight\" \"Min/Max\" \"Corners\" \"Waveform Expressions\" \"Post Run Results\" \"Device Checks\" \"User-Defined Columns\"")

However, I see that Spec and Weight is combined, and I want to keep Spec as this is important for me.

Ultimately, I need the Weight only for optimizations, else never.

How to achieve this?

Bye Stephan

    Dear Stephan,

I don't know if it can be done in ADE-XL, but if you switch to ADE Assembler you will be able to enable/disable Spec and Weight independently of each other with

    envSetVal("maestro.assembler" "defaultOutputColumns" 'string "\"Test\" \"Name\" \"Type\" \"Details\" \"EvalType\" \"Plot\" \"Save\" \"Spec\" \"Weight\" \"Units\" \"Digits\" \"Notation\" \"Suffix\"")

    Kind regards

    Matthias

Thanks Matthias, but I need it for the Results tab, not for the Output setup table. I want a compact results table.

    Stephan,

There's an enhancement request for this, CCR 1963019, filed by you in a previous life... (with a number of more recent duplicates). It's not been planned yet.

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Super many thanks Andrew!

It looks a nice to have thing, BUT zooming and scrolling just because some screen area is "wasted" is required very often and bothering many designers.

Is there also a plan to allow hiding of columns just by pressing right mouse button and select "Hide" ? Could use this as workaround.

    Bye Stephan

I'm not aware of any intention to add a second mechanism to hide columns - it would probably get rather complicated to have two competing mechanisms (there's already a menu to do this via the table icon next to the double-gear icon in the toolbar above the Results).
