Simulation on design series

I have a design with many versions. For example, my design with version number is mydesign_01, mydesign_02, ......, mydesign_99

I'd like to run a same simulation on all of the designs. Is there a way to run all the simulation in one setup?

    Hi,

if you keep the top testbench schematic fixed and just need to exchange the DUT instance then you could do that with a so called "config sweep" from within Assembler.

You need to have a config view  for your top testbench. Then it is possible to create such a config sweep in the global variables section.

Article (20352152) Title: How to sweep views in a config view in ADE XL or Assembler

If you operate outside the GUI with pure Spectre command line you would need to script that with Ocean or SpectreMDL.

    Kind regards,

    Marc

    Dear Marc,

Instead to sweep views of the DUT, I want to sweep the DUT cell itself. All the DUTs have same symbol and pins. Can ADE Assembler support this?

    Hi Martin,

I know you would need to copy all your different schematics into one cell, but I don't think there is another way doing that in Assembler if you want to  "sweep".

    Kind regards,

    Marc

Marc is correct. However, I did put together a prototype with R&D which provided a way of doing this. Please contact customer support and ask for the case to be assigned to me (please quote this text to show that I'm asking you to do this), and then I can follow up with R&D to see whether we can prioritise the enhancement or make the prototype available early.
