Labeling Multiple Pin names in layout

Hello,

I am trying to find an easier way to label pins in my layout. I have 4000 pins to label in my top cell.
I have tried to use find and replace but it also labels one by one.
Is there any easier way to do this job?

  • Yes. Make sure you have the navigator open (e.g. from the Basic workspace, or using Window->Assistants->Navigator) and use the "Pins" section to see the pins.

    Then use Create->Label (you might then have to hit F3 to bring up the options form) and switch to the Auto mode - and then you can create labels from interconnect - you can choose which layers it will use for the label, the size and so on - see an example here:

    Then select all the pins in the navigator, and the labels will be added.
