Assembler: What is a good method to deal different setups?

Hi,

I like the feature "Load setup to active" because if something worked well maybe a few days ago, and now I have problems, I can go back to something that works again.

However, there are also problems, e.g. you will be usually asked "Something has changed, you will loose these changes".

Usually I press ok, because I want or even need to go back and e.g. re-run with small changes. And often then all is fine again.

Now the problem:

Of course that going back was coming with some loss of intermediate changes, e.g. you create in between a completely new test like TestNew. And this TestNew is now missing because it not part of the older setup!!

How to get this Test back, and potential other changes?

Or to get this Test back and BUT e.g.  NOT other things, like Variable or Corner setup changes?

I though I could go to History (having this new TestNew executed), and have something like "include to active", but such function is missing.

I also thought Setup States can help, but here I have only the option to include ALL tests.

Please let me know what is the best way, e.g. to go back, sim, and then have the best from old setup and new work you created in between.

Bye Stephan

You can go back to a history, expand the history in the history tab, and then do load setup to active from just one test, or from the corners, etc. You don't have to load the entire history. Maybe that achieves what you want?

You can also go into a test and then in Explorer use the File->Import to be very selective about what you import from a particular history (even from the same maestro view).

If you want something more than this, you'll need to contact customer support.
