Deleted outputs in explorer/Viva keep reappearing!

This has infuriated me for ages, I recently downloaded the latest releases of s/w to see if it has changed. It has not.

Frequently, when I go to the "results" tab in ADE_explorer and either uncheck or delete signals - for example deleting 6 of 8 signals, I replot and all eight are back!  Or, I uncheck (for example) 4 of them and delete 2, replot and all 8 replot in Viva. This does not happen always, but it does frequently.

What is going on?

The only thing I can think of is that you've saved a plotting template and have that enabled - if that's the case, whatever is in the plotting template will be plotted regardless of whether the signals are enabled or not in the ADE outputs.

If you don't have a plotting template enabled (next to the Append/Replace/New Window cyclic next to the Plot All icon), then I don't know what it is - you should contact customer support; I don't think I've seen this behaviour.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Andrew: No, I do not have a maestro template loaded.  It's hard to imagine that no one else has seen this, it's been with me a long while. It will be really hard to demonstrate to support I imagine?

I don't recognise the symptoms at all, so it suggests there is something unusual going on in your setup or environment - or you are doing things in a slightly different way that others are not seeing. I'd be very surprised if this was happening commonly because I would have expected to have heard complaints, and that we would have fixed it.

Presumably if you can reproduce it often, showing customer support should be possible via a screen-sharing session.Application Engineers are used to hunting down what is different about behaviour at a specific customer, so I think we should be able to debug this with a bit of effort.

    Regards,

    Andrew
