How can I quickly check the run date of a History item in Assembler from Data View assistant?

Hi,

I need this often, but found no way yet. I thought that the menu item Log Viewer could help, but I see no response.

The very best would be to get the date included to the item name by default.

Bye Stephan

    Stephan,

You could use this code of mine: How can I have history names based on date/time rather than just incrementing numerically?

There is data in the result database containing information on when simulations were run, but no easy menu to get to it from the data view assistant for example. The Log Viewer you mention is specifically for LSCS-based runs and is probably a bit too fine-grained. Maybe the "Show Log" menu would be enough though? If you needed something to report on the date of a run more easily, that's a potential enhancement (obvious via customer support) that could be filed.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Hi Andrew, I wonder about this in your code:

When performance a Worst-Case Corner analysis, I only get the date and time as history item name, not e.g. WCC. Would be nice to improve this.

    Hi Stephan,

There was a flaw in the logic of the code because the run mode passed to the triggers is "Create Worst Case Corners" and the part of the code that handled to prefix then couldn't find the desired prefix to use. I've now fixed that and updated the article - so revisit the link given above and you should be able to download the newer (v1.2) version of the code which should work with Worst Case Corners too.

    Regards,

    Andrew
