Modifying ADL Defaults (State Load/Save Directory, Plot After Simulation, What to Save)

Hi,

I'd like to change some of the ADE L (version IC6.1.8-64b.500.5) defaults. As I couldn't find the according information in the documentation or elsewhere I hope I can get some help here.

First of all, I'm always saving and loading the ADE L states from the cellview of the testbench, and not from a separate directory. So I'd prefer the default of the "Load State Option" to be at "Cellview" rather than "Directory":

Second, when saving a state, I'd like to always exclude any Viva-related data such as existing plots. If I understand correctly, this means not setting the "Waveform Setup" and "Results Display Setup" options in "What to Save":

As a third and last point, I'd like to set "Plot after simulation" to "None" and "Plotting mode" to "New window":

Could you help me with the right .cdsinit/.cdsenv modifications for these settings? Also I'm grateful for hints where I could find appropriate information on this topic in the documentation, such that in the future I might be able to modify the defaults myself. Thanks very much!

These cdsenv settings can be made in your .cdsinit:

    envSetVal("asimenv" "saveAsCellview" 'boolean t)
    envSetVal("asimenv.plotting" "autoPlot" 'cyclic "None")
    envSetVal("asimenv.plotting" "artistPlottingMode" 'string "New Win")

You can put the same variables (different syntax) in your .cdsenv if you prefer.

It is not possible to customise the "What to save" checkboxes (other than a specific case with model setup); there's a change request, CCR 749187, asking for this. However, there's no chance that this will be implemented since ADE L is end of life. You should move to using ADE Explorer/Assembler instead as these are supported (the setting would be irrelevant there).

    Regards,

    Andrew
