Regarding tool crash while opening a layout file.

Hi All,

When I am trying to open a layout the tool is getting crashed.

Last time it happend I deleted the layout folder and opened after copying my backup layout folder. But now I don't have a backup.

Somebody told me the file got corrupted so we need to delete it. is there any way to make that file correct if it is true.

waiting for a positive reply.

Thanks,

Ganesh Doddipatla.

    Ganesh,

Without knowing the details, it's rather hard, but I'd suggest you use oaScan to check the cellView:

oaScan -lib libName -cell cellName -view viewName

Depending on what it finds, you can run again with the -repair switch to repair the database.

Make sure you're using a current IC subversion.

The best thing is to contact customer support (create a case after logging in). You should not need to be deleting cellViews.
