Multiple alignment spacing parameters

I would like to place 7,872 pins in groups of 12. In the groups of 12 pins I want spacing X and between the groups of 12 I want spacing Y. Is there a way to do this natively in the tool or do I need to write a SKILL script to accomplish this?

It's possible that you might be able to use the pin group guide capability of the floorplanner for this, but it's hard to know precisely what you want from the description above.

I suggest you contact customer support and then an application engineer can help you with this (I'm not sure how the groups of 12 are related to each other).

Not sure what happened but I didn't get an email for your response. I actually found a script on the Cadence support site that allows you to place existing pins from a csv file. It was easy enough to generate the correct pin locations with only a few minutes of effort using LibreOffice and feed this csv file into the script.
