ADE Results "Detailed - Transposed" and CSV export: Missing spec and testname

Hi, I want to evaluate the simulation results from an Assembler run with an external program and Detailed Transposed looked for me as the nicest and best-suited style. However, now I miss two things:

1. In opposite to Detailed mode, I do not get the specifications, like" tolerance 1 20".

Here my current workaround is to also export the output setup as CSV file, which is an extra effort but quite ok. One difficulty is here that you get all test outputs exported, and not only the ones which were really active.

2. The CSV from Transposed mode do not have the testname included. So if e.g. two tests are active and have outputs with the same name (like Idd"), you see these two outputs in the CSV, but it is hard to tell which is which test. In some ADE setups I have a big bunch of tests and this problem becomes very severe! And I have no workaround for this. It might be possible to switch to Detailed mode CSV, but this has other difficulties.

So the question arises, can I get a CSV file from Detailed Transposed mode, which includes the testname for each output? And maybe also the spec settings? Is there a special skill option for this?

Hi, I see that in Detailed Transposed mode the Testname (and also history name) is available in a bubble help. However, I need exactly this information also in the CSV file (plus the specification).

    Stephan,

The test name can be included via this menu item:

This can also be turned on by default via:

    envSetVal("adexl.gui" "detailtransposeViewShowDefault" 'string
    "\"Scalar Expressions\" \"Waveform Expressions\" \"Signals\" \"Corner Expressions\" \"Sweep Expressions\" \"Top Level Expressions\" \"Any Expressions\" \"Device Checks\" \"Test Name\"")

It's not possible to add specs to the detail transpose output. There's an enhancement request (filed by you), 1718254, asking for that. I only saw one other duplicate for this, and neither were from customers, so it's not been prioritised. I assume (I didn't check this) that it would be easy enough to join the two tables if you've got the test name included as shown above.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Thanks a lot, Andrew. Very helpful. Indeed the optimum would be having the complete data in one CSV file, best including also units, specs, maybe even output expressions.

    Bye Stephan
