ADE - MATLAB Integration - get path of maestro cellview / store matlab scripts in different folders

Using the ADE - MATLAB Integration, matlab is started in the working directory of cadence.

The Virtuoso working directory also becomes the MATLAB working directory.

Placing multiple matlab scripts for different testbenches in the working directory (or in a ./matlab sub-folder, like in the RAK example), is not useful for me.
The folder gets crowded with many matlab scripts from different testbenches. I loose the overview which matlab script is for which testbench, which ones are needed / obsolete / ....

I need to find a way to seperate the matlab scripts, and have the dedicated matlab scripts for each testbench in a seperate location / folder.

My ideas would be:

  • place the matlab scripts the the testbench Cell (e.g. parallel to the maestro cellview) or in the Documents location inside maestro cellview
  • place 1 general function in the working directory, which changes the directory (cd) to this path and invokes the available matlab script of the dedicated maestro cellview.
The matlab script name to be invoked could be also passes as a parameter to the general function.
  • Better solution: if the maestro cellview would be already in the "MATLAB Search Path" when matlab is invoked, scripts stored there could be invoked directly.

Is any of this possible?

E.g. is there any possibility, to find out the path of the maestro cellview?
Maybe with the adeInfo AdeInfoManger-Object in matlab?

Is there any other idea, how to handle a growing number of matlab scripts & store them in different locations?

Do you maybe have an idea for this?
