Analog Lib Switch

IEEE
IEEE over 2 years ago

I have a simple VIN voltage divider of two resistors, Rtop and Rbottom.

VIN is rise from 0 to 5V.

I want the output don’t pass 1V, mean when VIN>2V VOUT=1V. when VIN<2V, VOUT=0.5*VIN

How to use analog lib ideal switch?

What to connect to all four terminal(N+,NC+,N-,NC-) ? What closed\open voltage to use? What R open Rclose to use?

I am not sure if you viewed the Forum post at URL:

    https://community.cadence.com/cadence_technology_forums/f/custom-ic-design/41952/using-the-switch-in-the-analoglib

It has an example of its use that I think will provide some helpful information.

Also look at (from the command line) "spectre -h relay" (the analogLib switch component is the spectre "relay" component). You seem to have connected it up in a rather strange way. The voltage on the controlling input controls whether the switch is open or closed, and then you can choose the resistance when open or closed.
