Assembler in ICADVM20.1-64b gives K instead of k

Hi,

I am surprised to see kilo as K instead of k. Can I change this. Uppercase K is normally used for 2^10=1024, not 1000.

I also wonder how to avoid output like 11mdB or 9m%, I can force a certain factor like M or m, but not factor=1.

Bye Stephan

    Stephan,

That's news to me that "K" means 1024 in the context of analog results. I don't recall it being an issue as a kid when buying resistors...

Virtuoso has used uppercase K for kilo forever as far as I can tell. There was some inconsistency in ADE that I recall filing CCR on where a few places "k" was used and in most places "K" was used, so there was some standardisation - but that was in an early IC617 hotfix.

As for avoiding those outputs, in ADE Assembler (and XL) you have the "notation" and "units" columns. You can change the notation to eng or sci rather than using suffix notation. Maybe that's what you want?

    Andrew
