Pixelate Custom Curved Polygon According to Grid in Virtuoso Layout Suite L

Hi all,

I am working in Cadence Virtuoso Layout Suit L with a design I have previously optimized in another software (CST). The design consists of an archimedean spiral that has infinite resolution (there are no steps, the curve travels according to the equation of the spiral). In order to fulfill the DRC, I need this polygon to fall into a specific grid. I have tried to manually pixelate it by creating many rectangles that outline the curve in a step-by-step manner.

To clarify, I include the following image: Is there a way I can automatically convert a polygon like the brown one into a pixelated one like the green one?

Thanks in advance for your time

The stepped edge conversion works great, but it seems that it does not consider that the original set of points can also be off-grid. We have added some code to fix this issue. Contact me if you're interested.

Thanks - I may add that at some point when I have a moment (it's a fairly easy change - I just had assumed that the original points would be on grid, which obviously wasn't a valid assumption in your case).
