XPM file to layout or symbol view

I am trying to use the .ils file from this old thread. Andrew Beckett does this skill code still work. It was an old thread. When I run the function from the CIW, I get a dialog but when I navigate and Select the XPM file, it just hangs. version ICADVM20.1-64b.500.27

Seems the select button isn't working. it allows me to navigate to the file but when i select it, it doesn't fill in the dialog text box with the selected file's name. However, i can just type the path to the file in the dialog text box and then I can read it.
