Virtuoso Schematic L "spider" effect

Hi

I am doing an analog on top design that has a relatively complicated schematic and I know a few revisions of Virtuoso ago, there was a feature within the "Dynamic Net Highlighting" that would throw a (for lack of a better name) spider web effect from the net that was under the cursor to all of the same nets in the schematic but it appears as though this feature has been removed, or as I suspect, moved to a menu to be less obtrusive. I totally understand why it isn't as obvious anymore but where I am in my design that annoyance was actually really useful - is there a way to reenable it?

I'm using IC6.1.8-64b.500.32

Thanks

I believe you can access the GUI to set the dynamic net option from the Virtuoso menu item Options-> Display. From this GUI, select the radio buttons that enable "Dynamic Highlighting", "Dynamic Net Highlighting", and "Connect By Name Highlighting" (i.e set red radio buttons to "on").

    The Troubleshooting article at URL:

includes commands that may be include in your .cdsinit or .cdsenv files to enable the arcs (or disable them) as your default condition. I hope I understood your question correctly and this helps!

    Hi Shawn

Thanks - funny enough when I first saw this feature it was annoying and now that I don't have it I miss it.  Worked though - thanks!

Great! Thank you for letting us know and good luck! I must agree with you that I've never been a fan of the feature. Maybe in the future I will be as you appear to have changed your preference for it.
