if save/recovery available in ams

Hi,

I know in spectre based tran simulation option/state file tab, there are some save/recovery options. However, I dont find them in ams based tran simulation option.

Does it mean the save/recovery feature is not available in ams simulation?

Thanks for your attention.

    Dear sjwprcker,

There is a statement in the Virtuoso Analog Design Environment L User Guide IC6.1.8 under "Saving and Restarting an AMS Designer Simulation Run"  that indicates:

"Saving snapshots and restarting simulation from a specific snapshot is supported only for transient analysis runs and if you are using spectre or ultrasim as the solver. This is not supported for other analyses or other solvers."

If you are using spectre or ultraism, the instructions for saving and restarting an analysis are provided in the Virtuoso Analog Design Environment L User Guide IC6.1.8 at the following URL:

    Saving state(s) in AMS:

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/techpubDocViewerPage?path=anasimhelp/anasimhelpIC6.1.8/chap7.html#99124

Restarting AMS from a saved state:

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/techpubDocViewerPage?path=anasimhelp/anasimhelpIC6.1.8/chap7.html#39528

I hope I understood your question correctly sjwprcker!

    Shawn
