Importing layers from GDS inside Virtuoso which are not in the PDK layermap file

Hi All,

I am importing a GDS inside Virtuoso when I am seeing the below warnings in the stream log file indicating that some of the custom layers didn't get imported.

WARNING (XSTRM-36): The objects in the stream layer-datatype '189:0' are ignored. This is because the stream layer-datatype pair is not specified in the layer map file. Specify the stream layer-datatype pair in the layer map file and try again.
WARNING (XSTRM-36): The objects in the stream layer-datatype '192:0' are ignored. This is because the stream layer-datatype pair is not specified in the layer map file. Specify the stream layer-datatype pair in the layer map file and try again.

So do I just need to add the missing layers in the localized layermap file and re-stream in the GDS file ?

I am using IC6.1.8

thanks for the reply Andrew, I tried that and am getting an error stating "Failed to create the new layer purpose pair".

It will be great if you can suggest some ways to debug this issue for custom layers in the GDS ?
