about cadence virtuoso version

Hi, I have a basic question about cadence virtuoso version, every time my company receive the email from noreply@cadence.com, saying there is new version of cadence virtuoso available, e.g.,

IC6.18.320, for Linux REHL 6, 12 May 2023

ICADVM20.10.320, for Linux REHL 6, 12 May 2023

I am wondering what is difference between "IC6.18.320" and "ICADVM20.10.320" ? are they identical? How I know which one I need to download and install?

No, they are not identical in all respects. Many of the features are the same (e.g. ADE and VSE features typically match) but there are a number of more advanced capabilities that only exist in the ICADVM (advanced methodology) release. For example, ICADVM is needed for advanced node, for Virtuoso multi-tech, photonics, Virtuoso RF solution, VLS EXL and so on. For more information, speak to your account team.

They come from the same code base though so are released at the same time.
