HOW TO SCALE SELECTION BOUNDARY WHEN INSTANTIATING LAYOUT

Hi. I am a newbie student doing IC design layout. Is there a way I could get rid of this massively annoying layout selection boundary? This is very frustrating whenever I select a few components for my top-level layout with smaller neighboring blocks. Here's a snip of what I mean:
