Filtering out points in Monte-Carlo post processing?

Hi,

ADE has the option to filter points in MC, but for me it looks you can only exclude them for yield calculation, correct?

I run a MC analysis with 1000 points, and see that just one point #355 is an outlier for offset voltage, giving -3V instead of some mV. (other results are ok)

I wonder:

1. It looks that for yield you can only exclude points completely based on 3 fix criteria, but actually it makes sense to keep e.g. the AC results, and ignore only e.g. the PSS results (if only  these are wrong).

2. The filtering should be also available for other statistical analysis, like plotting or contribution analysis

3. Can I simply tell point e.g. #355 is wrong and will be ignored?

4. In my case for offset, the error is 1000X, so this point would destroy the sens results or correlations completely, i.e. just the variables being off at this point would be on top of the contribution list.

5. My a case is a bit tricky: I looked why offset is wrong at this single MC point. I found that there were two things: #1 there was a glitch in tran, and #2 tran was stopped by IT due to too long runtime. Can I exploit this and filter out this point in crurent version of ICADV 20.1.500.27?

Looking to correlation or Thumbnail Plot, I see the outlier, but I cannot delte a single point, can only zoon-in to keep it the outlier out of the plot.

The outlier, of course,  destroys also e.g. the linear fit.

Bye Stephan

    Stephan,

At the moment there's no ability to arbitrarily filter points except for the yield calculation (and even then it's only for very limited situations). There are enhancement CCRs already asking for this, so you should contact customer support and then your request can be duplicated with those.
