Sorry for the very elementary question about analog with hdl simulation.

Hi all,

If you know how to simulate an analog schematic with hdl=functional views, please teach me step by step.

I use Explore and spectre. The schematic is including analog device provided a vender and a hdl cell. (And cadence analog Lib/ahdllib)

At first Maybe I need to create config view. I clicked the target schematic and selected "File" --> "New" --> "cell view". Next I selecte "config" as the "Type" .  A "New Configuration" window was shown and I selected schematic in pulldown menu as "View" and selected "spectre" from "Use template".  In the config view=hierachy editor, I set functional to hdl cells and saved.

I opened explore and set config view as design. And then I ran and get error...

I am very in trouble. If you are kind, please teach me.

Best regards,

Ichiro

Assuming the "functional" views are Verilog textual representations, you can't use these with Spectre. You'd need "AMS Designer" (simulator "ams") for this. This would need XCELIUM as the simulator. See this Rapid Adoption Kit: Introduction to AMS Designer Simulation

    Hi Andrew!

Thanks for your advice! My command is not including Xcelium. I can simulate my circuit by using New command including Xcelium.

    Thanks!!^^
