Virtuoso Installation on RHEL 8

I am trying to install Virtuoso on RHEL 8 using these instructions Guide to download, install, and configure Virtuoso using InstallScape.  It says I should install two components IC618 and ICADVM181 to complete the process.  I see that IC231 the newer version of IC618 has been released and it supports RHEL 8 but ICADVM201 is not supported by RHEL 8.  That said, is it currently possible to install Virtuoso on a RHEL 8 machine?

There has been some support for IC618 on RHEL8 from ISR24 onwards, so if you're going to install it, install the latest hotfix of IC618.

You can also check patch requirements by downloading the latest "LCU" (Lic+Config_Utils) release and then running <LCU43_instDir>/bin/checkSysConf IC6.1.8.618SP which includes patchData for RHEL8.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Will ICADVM have an issue with compatibility?  Are both installations necessary for Virtuoso to start?

ICADVM20.1 ISR24 onwards also has the same updates for RHEL8, and can be tested with the LCU checkSysConf by using:

    checkSysConf ICADVM20.1.201SP

The patch files are the same for both this and the IC6.1.8.618SP file I mentioned earlier.

Not sure why you ask whether both installations would be necessary for Virtuoso to start (you don't need both installed).
